Pick Everard are looking to appoint a knowledgeable Senior Cost Manager to lead and shape our offering at Porton Down, Salisbury.Â
- Large and/or complex project runner with responsibility for project cost control
- Ensures accurate provision of cost estimates, bills of quantities, contract documents and reports
- Carries out audits/cost checks/reviews of construction and FM contracts
- Liaises directly with Clients
- Leads bid process and undertakes business development
- Resources own jobs, undertakes team supervision and monitors internal costs
- Manages less experienced staff on a day-to-day basis
- Runs Design Team meetings, reports on and gives advice on cost control matters
About You
Our ideal Senior Cost Manager must have:
- Chartership with post chartered relevant experience.Â
- Membership of RICS
- Security clearance or qualified to achieve SC
- A strong track record in a consultancy Quantity Surveying role, including cost management of building projects, feasibility/option studies, detailed cost planning, post contract cost management
- Thorough understanding of the principal standard forms of Building Contracts including JCT and NEC3
- Experience working within the defence sector
