Our Opportunity

At Pick Everard, we are proud to have a vast pipeline of work including Severn Trent Water, Thames Water, HS2, Yorkshire Water, Government of Jersey.

With our continuous growth in this area, we are looking to recruit a Senior Water Civil Engineer to join our flourishing Water Engineering team.

You will be joining our team in Leicester, working across our project delivery and hydraulic modelling teams, supporting wastewater and cleanwater infrastructure schemes. The supply, management and disposal of water are at the core of what we do. 

As a Senior Water Civil Engineer, you will be a key leader, working alongside our current Civil Engineering team, running large projects and coordinating multiple professions across schemes.  You will engage with clients’ operational staff regarding reactive and proactive works and carry out strategic catchment assessment. You will develop scheme designs from inception through to completion and manage and develop team members to ensure efficacy.

About You

This role will suit a Civil Water Engineer who has experience working in wastewater and/or cleanwater infrastructure across the UK. You will be able to demonstrate your skills, and knowledge of the industry, and be passionate about driving your career in engineering forward.

Our ideal Senior Water Civil Engineer must have:

  • A high level broad-based technical appreciation
  • Understanding of forms of appointment and construction contracts
  • The ability to contribute to bid preparation process
  • The ability to use various relevant computer software programmes
  • Be a team player and self-motivated

It would be nice for you to have:

  • CEng with post chartered relevant experience or IEng with post incorporated relevant experience working in wastewater and/or cleanwater
  • The motivation to undertake relevant CPD and to increase skills and knowledge
  • Very good report writing and presentation skills at project level
  • Good verbal communication – able to discuss work, coach and supervise employees and communicate effectively with clients
  • The ability to develop effective team management skills
  • The ability to work to deadlines and manage time with multiple tasks
