About the role

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Social Worker to join Cambridgeshire County Council’s Continuing Healthcare team, as a Senior Social Worker on a permanent, full-time basis.

The service provides advice to the Adult Social Care workforce relating to NHS Continuing Healthcare and works in partnership with Cambridgeshire and Peterborough Integrated Care Board (ICB) to determine individuals’ eligibility for NHS Continuing Healthcare, through joint completion of the NHS Continuing Healthcare process. The team implement services under the Care Act 2014 if the ICB has decided an individual is not eligible for NHS Continuing Healthcare.

About you

You will be a qualified Social Worker with at least 2 years’ experience with a  passion for NHS Continuing Healthcare and Social Justice.

Line management experience is desirable but if not, you will be able to demonstrate mentoring/guidance for colleagues and/or management support.

Detailed knowledge of relevant legislation such as Care Act 2014, Health and Social Care Act 2022, and the National Framework for NHS CHC and NHS FNC (2022) is key.
