You will be joining the Model Risk Management (MRM) team, consisting of 6 Model Risk professionals. The MRM team play a strategically important role through the provision of a model risk framework and the delivery of model validation exercises.

What Will You Be Doing?
As a Senior Model Validation Analyst, you will be responsible for:
- Completing the regular independent validation of the Society’s highly material models. This includes the completion of quantitative and qualitative validation tests, preparation of validation reports and communication of outputs to stakeholders.
- You will drive all validation activity across the data science lifecycle, from data quality monitoring to model design, statistical performance assessment, deployment and monitoring. Validation approaches will include desktop review, re-performance of statistical performance tests and creation of challenger models.
- Building and maintaining strong relationships across the business, beingrecognised as a highly credible individual who can communicate complex concepts in a simple to understand, straightforward manner.
- Participating in short term virtual teams via a matrix management approach and provide technical guidance and support to other business areas as required.
What Do We Need From You?
- Educated to degree level in a mathematical / analytical subject.
- Excellent Data Science skills, covering the full spectrum of the analytics lifecycle.
- An ability to critically analyse and validate complex statistical models across a range of business areas, utilising a balance of business and regulatory knowledge combined with statistical rigour.Â
- An ability to communicate complex, technical information to non-technical audiences clearly, succinctly and with impact in both written and verbal form.
- An advanced user of at least one of Excel, SAS, Python, R or SQL, with an aptitude and enthusiasm for learning other analytical tools.
