We are pleased to be able to offer an opportunity to join our friendly and professional Academic Language Support Service (ALSS) team. 

 

The English for Academic Purposes (EAP) Tutor will be our London based ALSS team member.

 

The successful candidate will provide academic language and study skills support for postgraduate and research students from a diverse range of educational, linguistic and cultural backgrounds.

 

Support will be primarily embedded across modules and disciplines within the school. The tutor will use their knowledge of EAP to collaborate with academic colleagues to design and deliver appropriate academic language and study skills support. 

  

All sessions will be delivered in person at the London campus and the postholder will be required to be based there. Some remote working may be possible where operationally viable.

 

You should be a graduate with a CELTA or equivalent, ideally hold a DELTA or equivalent and / or relevant MA/MSc. You should have experience in teaching English for academic purposes and study skills within a Higher Education context.

 

Experience of preparing for and delivering in curricula support would be an advantage. You must be fluent in English, both written and oral, be able to provide effective feedback to students and have strong interpersonal and organisational skills.
