Job Description

Renishaw's CMM Gauging Products Division (CGPD) is currently seeking to recruit a development applications engineer.

Working with the latest in metrology and gauging technology the successful candidate will be involved in the initial development of new products as well as continuous improvement of our established products.

Responsibilities

  • Characterise both software and hardware system performance of Renishaw's new and current automated gauging systems.

  • Prepare technical reports and feedback findings into the development process.

  • Verification of new developments against design and functional requirements.

  • Collaborate with other disciplines both internal and external to the division.

Key requirements

  • A degree in a relevant STEM subject

  • Demonstrable experience in investigation and problem solving

  • Good communication and documentation skills

  • Experience in continuous improvement

Desirable requirements

  • Knowledge of metrology principles.

  • Practical expertise in the use of CMM / Gauging metrology hardware or software.

  • Ability to use Python / Matlab / other data processing software

Person specification

The successful applicant will be self motivated and able to work with minimum supervision. The individual must be adaptable, logical thinking, well organised, have good communication skills and an aptitude to problem solving.

Location

The role will be based at our New Mills site near Wotton-under-Edge in Gloucestershire
