We have a fantastic opportunity for a Civil Engineer Graduate to join our team at our offices in Porthmadog, Gwynedd. Reporting directly to the Operations Director, the Civil Engineer Graduate will help support the Site Engineers in the safe and timely delivery of different projects to ensure that dimensional control and QA processes are undertaken in a timely manner to meet the project requirements.

On a day to day basis, the responsibilities of the Civil Engineer Graduate will include the following (not exhaustive):

  • Complying with all BMS/SHEQ and Company H&S Roles & Responsibilities requirements
  • Assisting in the management and compliance with all BMS/SHEQ and Company H&S Roles and Responsibilities requirements
  • Achieving efficiency of operations working to the agreed project programme
  • Gaining knowledge and understanding in the importance of dimensional control and how it is established to the surrounding topography
  • Assisting the site engineers to undertake site engineering function to ensure all works are completed to the contract specification
  • Understanding and complying with ITP requirements with contract specification and to relevant standards
  • Maintaining accurate daily site diaries and records, understanding its importance and how to record effectively
  • Collating and maintaining records as the projects progress
  • Maintaining accurate daily site records detailing works undertaken and resources employed
  • Assisting in reducing the environmental impact of the site and contribute ideas surrounding sustainability

The ideal candidate will be a Civil Engineer Graduate who is in receipt of the following:

  • BEng in Civil Engineering or similar/equivalent
  • Strong communication and IT skills
  • Self-aspiration and invested in personal development

Although not essential, having a relevant professional membership or working towards one would be favourable; as would a familiarity with engineering software such as AutoCAD.
