About the role

As a Social Housing Regulation Officer within the Housing Strategy and Partnerships team at West Northamptonshire Council, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the Council’s compliance with the Regulator of Social Housing’s Consumer Standards. 

This is a strategic and collaborative position, working closely with the Council’s ALMO, Northamptonshire Partnership Homes and internal stakeholders to drive continuous improvement, regulatory assurance, and sector-leading practice.

What will you be doing?

You’ll lead on developing robust evidence bases, gap analyses, and improvement plans, while also coordinating reporting to elected members and managing external consultancy support. 

Your work will directly contribute to the Council’s mission to make West Northants a great place to live, work, visit and thrive.

About you

You are a confident and collaborative professional with a strong background in social housing, governance, or regulatory compliance. 

You bring excellent interpersonal and influencing skills, enabling you to work effectively with a wide range of stakeholders, including elected members and internal teams.
