Description: We are looking for a skilled and experienced Sustainable Energy Manager to manage energy consumption and costs across the Council’s portfolio of buildings and oversee a programme of carbon reduction and energy efficiency projects.
Working in a fast-paced environment you will provide specialist energy management advice, acting as the Council’s expert on energy efficiency and carbon reduction schemes.

You will develop innovative carbon reduction schemes and strategies, as well as leading on all matters relating to energy procurement and usage across all our properties.
Assisting with the production and delivery of our Asset Management Plan, Climate Change Strategy and Carbon Management Plans, you will also be able to demonstrate your commitment to stakeholder involvement.

You’ll need a full understanding of carbon reduction legislation and wider environment considerations as they apply to housing and corporate buildings, and you will have experience of securing funding from a wide range of sources.
We are looking for some highly motivated with excellent presentation and communication skills, including the ability to communicate technical matters to a non-technical audience.

Hours: This is a full-time role, for 37 hours per week.

Contract: Permanent

Salary: £45,718 – £50,788 per annum (City Pay Band 7), pro rata for part time.

Location: This is flexible – working in Cambridge on site or at one of our offices or working from home. You will be able to balance your work location accordingly.
