The Opportunity
As the Supplier Quality Delivery Lead (SQDL), you are accountable for enhancing supply chain quality performance for Hinkley Point C (HPC) & Sizewell C (SZC) projects. You’ll oversee and coordinate Supplier Development activities, manage a team of Supplier Development Leads, and assess development support requests, ensuring timely and high-quality delivery of improvement projects.

What you’ll be doing
As the Supplier Quality Delivery Lead (SQDL), you are accountable for delivering supplier quality improvements on behalf of the Quality Delivery Managers (QDMs). You maintain a prioritized plan for Supplier Quality Development activities, coordinating multi-disciplinary resources to meet HPC requirements. You manage Supplier Development Leads (SDLs), ensuring they have the necessary skills and experience, while also supporting and coaching them. Building strong relationships with senior HPC teams allows you to influence improvement activities and promote continuous enhancement.
You collect and analyse supplier performance data to validate development requests and consolidate learnings from improvement plans. Additionally, you manage the budget for quality improvement projects and oversee the creation of Supplier Quality Delivery Charters to ensure timely and effective project delivery.
Who you are
In this role, you will need a continuous improvement mindset, with expertise in techniques like 8D, PDCA, root cause analysis, Kaizen, and process mapping. You must possess strong influencing skills and the ability to build effective relationships with stakeholders while supporting practical solutions. Proactivity, flexibility, and strong organizational and communication skills are essential, along with data analysis and project delivery focus.
You will have leadership experience managing multi-disciplinary teams and a background in business improvement in manufacturing. Desirable qualifications include Lean Six Sigma accreditation and nuclear sector knowledge. Key competencies include inspiration, integrity, impact, and involvement to achieve results and motivate others.
