At Aster, we’re making bold decisions to improve lives and communities and we believe the best decisions are driven by strong evidence, insight and intelligent challenge. That’s where you come in.
We’re looking for a Strategic Information and Insight Partner to act as a trusted advisor, critical friend and knowledge partner across our business. This is a high‑profile role working with senior leaders, boards and governing bodies to ensure our strategies, policies and investments are fully informed by robust data, research and external intelligence.

- Act as a strategic partner across the organisation—shaping decisions, influencing outcomes and supporting business change.
- Monitor the external landscape, including political, regulatory, economic and sector developments, translating complexity into meaningful insight, risks and opportunities.
- Horizon scan to identify emerging trends, challenges and opportunities that could impact our strategic priorities.
- Provide high‑quality intelligence and assurance to Panels, Committees and Boards, supporting governance, compliance and risk management.
- Support mergers, acquisitions, partnerships and growth opportunities with competitor, customer and market intelligence.
- Collaborate closely with Project Delivery, Business Design and Change teams to ensure insight flows where it matters most.
- Enable the organisation to adopt emerging technologies, including AI, by sharing best practice and market intelligence.
- Champion evidence‑led decision making while living the values of The Aster Way—working collaboratively and raising standards across the business.
About you
You’ll bring a rare blend of analytical strength, commercial awareness and influencing skill. You’ll likely have:
- Degree‑level education (or equivalent experience).
- Proven experience influencing a wide range of audiences through clear, compelling insight and communication.
- Strong qualitative and quantitative analytical skills, with hands‑on experience of using data and insight to inform evidence-led decision making.
- Extensive experience of research and scanning complex external information, synthesising it into practical insight.
- A strong understanding of the housing sector and its wider political, regulatory and economic context or the ability to rapidly build it.
- A commercial mindset, curiosity and an innovative approach to problem solving.
- A proactive commitment to continuous learning and professional development.
- High levels of professionalism when handling sensitive and confidential information.
