About the role
This is a critical leadership role within one of the UK’s most ambitious infrastructure projects.
As Site Regulatory Liaison & Assurance Manager, you will be at the forefront of ensuring Sizewell C operates safely, transparently, and in full compliance with its legal and regulatory obligations.
Reporting to the Head of Site Nuclear Compliance, you will lead the site’s engagement with Regulators and Statutory Consultees—managing all aspects of regulatory communication, from routine correspondence and reporting to the coordination of formal inspections and strategic meetings. You’ll play a key role in ensuring that the project meets its obligations under the Nuclear Site Licence (NSL), Development Consent Order (DCO), and relevant health, safety, and environmental regulations.
You will oversee the planning and delivery of regulatory inspections, including challenging inspection scopes where appropriate, leading internal and external pre-meetings, and ensuring that all relevant project and contract partner representatives are fully briefed and prepared. Your leadership will be instrumental in demonstrating the project’s capability and commitment to compliance.
In addition, you will deputise for the Head of Site Nuclear Compliance when required, providing continuity and assurance in all regulatory matters.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead regulatory engagement and manage site inspection planning and delivery.
- Ensure timely closure of regulatory issues and findings.
- Act as SME for event categorisation and reporting, ensuring timely notifications to regulators.
- Develop and deliver an annual compliance check plan aligned with NSL and DCO requirements.
- Manage the site compliance assurance team and produce monthly compliance dashboards.
- Provide expert advice on NSL, planning, and lease obligations.
- Promote compliance awareness through coaching and mentoring.
- Represent the site in internal and external regulatory meetings and forums.

If you’re ready to make an impact, lead with purpose, and join one of the most ambitious infrastructure projects in the UK, we want to hear from you.
Let’s build a cleaner, greener future together.
Sizewell C Limited (Sizewell C) is a nuclear site licensed company whose business is to design, finance, construct, commission, operate, maintain, and eventually decommission the nuclear power plant and related infrastructure at Sizewell C in Suffolk. Sizewell C was formerly under the majority ownership of the EDF Group but is currently majority owned by HM Government and operates as an independent company. EDF remains a key shareholder in Sizewell C and the business therefore maintains close links to EDF as a part of its ‘nuclear family’.
As a Sizewell C employee, you may wonder why you are contacted by colleagues with an EDF email or see the EDF logo on portals that you access and/or documentation you receive; this is because we have partnered with EDF for the provision of a number of support services whilst we complete a successful transition out of the EDF group.
Additional Information
Join the team at Sizewell C. The power of good for Britain.
It’s not every day you get the opportunity to shape the working culture of what will be one of Europe’s largest construction projects, while also helping Britain to reach its target of Net Zero emissions by 2050. That’s one of the reasons Sizewell C will be unlike anything you’ve ever experienced before, and you’ll need to be an exceptional professional to reach the high standards this critical infrastructure project demands.
The UK is experiencing a nuclear renaissance and Sizewell C – along with its sister project at Hinkley Point C in Somerset – is powering the change. We’re ramping up at pace as we look ahead to the Financial Investment Decision in early 2025, and the start of construction soon after. With government fully on board and public opinion shifting significantly in favour of nuclear, there’s never been a better time to join our project.
