Overview
As a Senior Practitioner (OT) you will make a difference by improving the quality of services provided to adults with care and support needs. You will have a pivotal role in ensuring performance and quality standards across the Adult Social Care team are met and delivered to vulnerable adults in our community.
What will you be doing?
- Under the supervision of a Team Manager, you will take a proactive role in carrying out Organisational Safeguarding enquiries, ensuring effective links with service providers.
- You’ll be responsible for maintaining records and making recommendations in relation to Organisational Safeguarding issues and participation in all relevant meetings.
- You will liaise with Social Work or Occupational Therapy staff, and other associated staff in relation to safeguarding enquiries, social care assessments, support plans, practice and decision making.
- On occasions you may be required to deputise for the Team Manager and chair safeguarding strategy and review meetings or attend meetings with other agencies.
- You will maintain and promote effective partnerships with relevant agencies including the CCG and CQC to achieve best outcomes for service users. This may involve assisting in developing and implementing multi-agency policies and procedures.
- As an experienced practitioner you will keep your professional skills and knowledge of legislation and practice up to date and on occasions, you may be required to act as practice educator to qualifying and newly qualified staff.
