Overview

We’re looking for an experienced Learning & Leadership Development professional to design, facilitate, and deliver high-impact leadership training programmes for Senior Directors and VPs across IRIS. If you’re passionate about developing leaders, driving a coaching culture, and ensuring managers at all levels have access to exceptional learning opportunities, this role is for you.

This is a 12-month fixed-term contract and can be remote-based, with some travel to our Slough/Heathrow Approach office and other locations as required.

 

What Will You Be Doing?

Leadership Development & Coaching

  • Design, deliver, and facilitate leadership development programmes for senior leadership levels, ensuring alignment with business strategy.
  • Provide one-to-one coaching for managers and leaders to strengthen leadership behaviours and performance.
  • Act as a trusted advisor to managers and leaders on leadership and talent development.
  • Promote a coaching culture, equipping leaders with the skills to develop, engage, and lead their teams effectively.
  • Collaborate with external partners such as CMI (Chartered Management Institute) to ensure best practices in leadership development.
  • Continuously evaluate and refine leadership programmes to enhance business impact.

 

Learning & Development

  • Develop and implement a learning roadmap that aligns with business goals.
  • Work with department leaders to prioritise leadership development initiatives.
  • Measure the effectiveness of learning solutions using data-driven insights.
  • Ensure learning is inclusive and accessible across our global teams in the UK, US, India, and Romania.

 

Early Careers & Future Talent Development

  • Support early careers pathways and succession planning to build a strong leadership pipeline.
  • Oversee apprenticeship programmes and alternative career development pathways.
  • Ensure effective use of the apprenticeship levy and provide regular reporting on key performance indicators.

 

Team Leadership

  • Lead and develop a small L&D team, mentoring them in best practices for learning design and facilitation.
  • Foster a growth mindset within the team, equipping them with knowledge of instructional design, learner engagement, and facilitation techniques.
  • Use data-driven insights to inform decision-making and shape the learning and leadership strategy.
  • Manage the L&D budget effectively, ensuring efficient resource allocation.
  • Work closely with third-party training providers to deliver high-quality learning solutions.

 

Digital Learning & Learning Management System (LMS)

  • Manage the relationship with Cornerstone LMS, ensuring full utilisation of the platform.
  • Develop learning pathways for leadership development through digital solutions.
  • Oversee content quality, governance, and accessibility within the LMS.
  • Promote e-learning modules to enhance leadership capability and continuous development.

 


What Are We Looking For?

We’re looking for someone who has:

  • CIPD Level 5 qualification or equivalent.
  • Accreditation in psychometric tools (e.g. Insights) – desirable.
  • A recognised coaching qualification – preferred.
  • Significant experience in designing, delivering, and facilitating leadership training/coaching at senior leadership levels.
  • Proven expertise in learning and development, including design, facilitation, and execution.
  • Experience leading and mentoring an L&D team, even if they don’t have a formal L&D background.
  • Strong stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence senior leaders.
  • Knowledge of coaching methodologies with hands-on experience coaching managers and leaders.
  • Familiarity with LMS/LXP platforms (experience with Cornerstone is a plus but not essential).
  • Experience managing early careers and apprenticeship programmes (desirable).
  • Knowledge of leadership assessment tools and psychometric testing (e.g. Insights, MBTI) – desirable.
  • Experience working in fast-paced environments, engaging stakeholders, and delivering impactful learning solutions.
  • Strong commercial awareness, with a focus on improving capability and performance with tangible ROI.
  • Excellent communication and facilitation skills, confident in influencing and constructively challenging stakeholders.
