About the role
Are you someone who loves variety, enjoys learning new skills and thrives when no two days are the same?
We’re looking for a highly adaptable Senior Business Officer to become one of the Registration Service’s most flexible team members.
This isn’t a traditional office role. One day you could be registering births and deaths, the next conducting a marriage ceremony, producing certificates, preparing legal paperwork or supporting colleagues wherever the service needs you most. Every day is different, but every day you’ll be making a real difference to the people of Cambridgeshire.
You’ll be joining a team that’s proud of the culture we’ve created. We believe in One Service – working together, supporting one another and always being willing to lend a hand. We know that the best service for our customers starts with looking after each other, sharing knowledge and creating an environment where everyone feels valued, supported and encouraged to develop.
We don’t believe in “that’s not my job” – we believe in asking “how can I help?”
If you’re someone who enjoys learning, embraces change and wants to be part of a supportive team, we’d love to hear from you.
For more information or to chat about this opportunity please contact Laura Everitt 01223 706323 or Claire Norman 01223 714663
About you
We’re looking for someone who is calm under pressure, enjoys solving problems and isn’t fazed when plans change.
You’ll thrive in this role if you:
- Love variety and enjoy learning new skills.
- Can adapt quickly and confidently to changing priorities.
- Are organised and able to remain calm in a busy environment.
- Have excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Build positive relationships with colleagues and customers.
- Are happy to travel across our offices and venues.
- Enjoy working as part of a supportive, collaborative team.
Most importantly, we’re looking for someone with the right attitude.
We can teach you the technical aspects of the role, but we’re looking for someone who is positive, flexible, resilient and always willing to help. Someone who sees a problem and asks, “What can I do to help?”
If you’re looking for a role where every day is different, where you’ll continually learn new skills and where your contribution genuinely matters, we’d love to hear from you.
