About The Role

The post holder will join the Cancer Invasion and Metastasis Research Group led by Professor Claire Wells within the School of Cancer & Pharmaceutical Sciences at King’s College London. The post holder will work closely with Prof Debashis Sarker in this role. The successful candidate will play a key role in driving translational and mechanistic studies focused on dissecting key molecular pathways regulating the activity of Gremlin-1 in the pancreatic cancer tumour microenvironment. This work will involve working with a multinational biopharmaceutical company to test novel therapeutic agents which are undergoing clinical development (Sarker D et al, AACR 2025). 
 
Working closely with collaborators across King’s College London the post holder will lead and support experimental studies integrating tumour and stromal cells into 3D model systems, investigating cellular signalling and translation to cancer organoid biology  
 
The role offers an exciting opportunity for a highly motivated postdoctoral scientist to contribute intellectually and experimentally to the development of therapeutic approaches for pancreatic cancer within a highly collaborative translational research environment.
 
This is a full-time post (35 hours per week), and you will be offered a fixed term contract until 4th October 2028.
