Here at Skipton Building Society we have an excitingopportunity to join us as our new Premises Manager. The purpose of this role isto lead, coordinate and manage the ongoing schedule of our workspace environmentsacross our Head Office and Branch networks. Youâ€™ll do this by liaising withexternal consultants where necessary, working with stakeholders across thebusiness and providing advice on property matters.
This will be a really varied role for the successfulcandidate and you will be responsible for a number of things across thepremises department. One of the main areas you will get involved in will be therefurbishments, maintenance and repair of our Branch Network. This will includeprioritising refurbishments/repairs based on branch and regional requirementsas well as design options, ensuring budget and timescales are met and thenecessary support is provided by various teams across the business.
You will regularly review departmental workloads and agree priorities withvarious stakeholders from across the Society to meet business needs in agreedtimescales. You will have oversight and manage the budgets for Premises,ensuring value for money and capture cost savings where possible. Youâ€™ll haveaudit actions that will need reviewing and meeting in a timely manner with anyfindings and learnings cascaded to the appropriate colleagues. In addition,youâ€™ll be expected to regularly review legislative changes and ensure allchanges and processes meet any and all legal requirements.
We are looking for someone with the ability to influence,engage and work in partnership with stakeholders at all levels so first-classpeople skills and strong communication is essential within the role. The tasksyouâ€™ll complete within the role will need you to have excellent negotiatingskills in order to successfully deliver within plan and budget.
Weâ€™re looking for a passionate and enthusiastic leader, as amanager you will be responsible for the line management of your direct reports.This will include ensuring the individuals within the team understand what isexpected of them and have appropriate objectives in place. Youâ€™ll hold monthlyone to ones and regular catch ups to monitor your teamâ€™s performance.
The right person for the role will have a breadth of knowledge in CAD, BuildingRegulations and planning. In addition, you will be a member of CIAT (CharteredInstitute of Architectural Technologists) with strong experience in a similarrole in commercial property/facility management.
