To support the wider growth and strategic objectives of the business, we are looking for a Portfolio Administrator who will support the Senior Commercial Manager with administrative business support. You will support with both inorganic and organic portfolio management, liaising with internal stakeholders as well as third parties.

This role will sit in the Commercial team of the  Asset Management Division and will work closely with the broader Asset Management team, as well as the Finance team.

Starling continues to grow its asset base at pace through a number of origination channels and this role will give you the opportunity to be part of one of the most exciting FinTechs during a pivotal phase of growth.


  • Build relationships with the key external and internal stakeholders
  • Takes minutes and record actions at business review meetings and manage the closure of these actions with both internal and external parties
  • Support, where required, the drafting or updating of governance/commercial  documents
  • Support the technology team third party incidents through proactive engagement with the relevant third party
  • Assist with the processing of invoices
  • Where required, support with change management governance


  • Good interpersonal, relationship management and communication skills.
  • Strong people management skills and a high level of trust and confidentiality.
  • Experience and ability to deal with ambiguity, complexity and prioritise tasks.
  • Ability to work autonomously and collaborative in a team with a flat structure and function well in a fast-paced startup environment
  • Demonstrable interest in financial services and/or FinTech, either through relevant work experience or strong market knowledge
  • Preferable to have experience working in a regulated banking and/or lending environment
