We are currently looking for an experienced Operative at our Eaton Hall plant in Congleton, Cheshire; The site is easily accessible from Leek, Biddulph, Alsager, Sandbach, Nantwich, Malpas, Tattenhall, Frodsham, Winsford, Northwich, Runcorn, Widnes, Warrington, Lymm, Altrincham, Manchester, Stockport, Wilmslow, Alderley Edge, Knutsford, Macclesfield, Buxton and the surrounding areas.

As the successful Operative, you will report to the Site Manager and will be responsible for undertaking all site duties safely, understanding CRH and SHE safety. You will also be working in different areas including raw materials, storage, production, despatch and housekeeping.

On a day to day basis, duties and responsibilities of the Operative will include (not exhaustive):

  • Meeting daily production target requirements
  • Working on the reporting of data for quality purposes
  • Moving, loading and unloading products from the plant and vehicles
  • Meeting customer service requirements in terms of accurate loading and timely vehicle turnaround
  • Working on the continuous improvement of performance standards

The ideal Operative will be able to demonstrate proven experience working within a similar production and despatch environment. Furthermore, if you have experience in any of the following, this would be beneficial in your application.

  • Good communication skills and good numeracy
  • Holding a mobile plant licence for diesel counterbalance forklift truck
  • Strong communication and team player ability
  • Previous experience of manual handling would be a bonus
