Salary: £21,736 – £22,331 per annum
37 Hours Per Week and Full Time
Location: Newcastle upon Tyne, NE4 7SA
This post involves working as a member of the College's Estates Maintenance Team on both planned and routine maintenance tasks throughout the College properties with an emphasis on general Electrical maintenance and repairs and weekly planned preventative maintenance activities.
You will assist in the preservation of both new and existing properties and infrastructures and will be required to undertake regular inspections to ensure that the current high standard of repair is maintained throughout the Estate.
As an Estates Maintenance Technician-Electrical you may be required at times to assist in the oversight of sub-contractors ensuring that all contracted out works are undertaken in line with specifications provided to an acceptable standard. You will need to be physically fit and able to work at heights when required. The role with involve assisting and supporting service delivery from the other in-house trades as required.
The successful candidate will have an Electrical trade related qualification and BS7671 18th Edition with a minimum of two years on site experience. The candidate will also have experience of working at height and relevant site safety skills with a positive attitude towards expanding their training and knowledge in relevant areas.
