About the role
The Department for Health are seeking a proactive, self-motivated and collegiate Lecturer to assist in the delivery of our undergraduate Health and Exercise Science and Sport and Exercise Science programmes. Our Department and University seek an outstanding candidate to elevate student academic and employability skills.
This will involve teaching small groups, lecturing, delivery of practical classes and supporting students on undergraduate/postgraduate courses as well as administrative, assessment and exam duties as required. This post will support learning and teaching in the subject area of research methods and physiology.
You will join a team of lecturers delivering a suite of units across our Undergraduate and Postgraduate Taught degrees delivering content primarily to students studying a BSc Health and Exercise Science or BSc/MSci Sport and Exercise Science.
Our teaching is primarily delivered face to face, supported by online content. The role will include supervision of undergraduate research projects and involvement in the academic and pastoral support of students.
The successful candidate will design and deliver teaching materials for lectures, seminars, tutorials, and laboratory classes (as appropriate), design and mark assessments and provide feedback to students. They will be educating and inspiring some of the brightest students in the country, delivering an engaging experience and a supportive programme.

This is a full-time, fixed-term contract for 12 months.
While this is advertised as a full-time position, we are open to considering two part-time roles for the right candidates. You will be asked to specify your preference in your application form.
