The Tissue Viability Lead provides expert clinical leadership for all aspects of tissue viability and pressure ulcer prevention across Surrey and Sussex Healthcare NHS Trust. The role ensures high‑quality, evidence‑based care through strategic planning, service development, education, and collaboration with multidisciplinary teams.

Qualifications
Essential criteria
- Current healthcare professional registration e.g. NMC or AHP
- Educated to master’s Level or equivalent experience
- Experience of managing tissue viability concerns in both acute and community settings.
- Experience of developing and delivery of training/education to all staff groups
- Recent clinical experience within an acute setting within the last 2 years
Desirable criteria
- Nurse Independent / Supplementary prescriber
- Experience of multi-agency working

Successful candidates will be appointed to the first pay step within the band when they start with the Trust (unless they have previous relevant NHS continuous service), thereafter individuals will progress up the pay steps in accordance with NHS Agenda for Change (AfC) terms and conditions. For part time roles you will receive a pro rata’d (proportional) salary payment based on the appropriate pay step/point and hours worked in accordance with AfC and all medical and dental terms and conditions.
