Job Description

Renishaw UK Sales has a vacancy for a Key Account Manager (KAM). Reporting to the National Sales Manager, this is a key role in supporting and developing the business through our Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM)channels.

The KAM will work with selected OEM accounts, developing positive relationships throughout those accounts at all levels. Strategically, the KAM will need to educate the customer about our products and services whilst also understanding their technology roadmap and bringing back those insights to our own product divisions. Operationally, the KAM will support the customer with their day-to-day enquiries and challenges whilst optimising the fitment rate of Renishaw technologies on their machines.

Responsibilities

  • Develop strategic account plans for Key Accounts using Relationship Mapping and SWOT analysis techniques; deliver these plans.

  • Identify opportunities for business growth and deliver that growth in line with sales targets

  • Develop joint plans with the customer for technical updates, training, marketing and promotions, including support at Open House events.

  • Co-ordinate with internal product divisions to deliver demonstrations for OEM events and exhibitions.

  • Review and negotiate discounts and commercial terms with the customer.

Key requirements

  • Can easily establish solid relationships at all levels within the account, building rapport and trust.

  • Business and commercial acumen with an appetite for the responsibility that comes with owning the sales target.

  • Technically astute with knowledge across Renishaw’s broad product range including strategic products SPRINT, FORTIS, REVO & Central.

  • Strong written and verbal communications including confident presentation skills.

  • Full and valid driving licence and current passport as frequent travel to customer sites will be required.

Person specification

This role requires high levels of self-motivation with a focus on output and delivering to important deadlines, achieving high standards in customer service. The successful candidate will need to be organised and diligent and be able to overcome challenges and push projects through to completion.

The ability to build trust and rapport throughout the OEM accounts, whilst also firmly protecting Renishaw interests and commercial performance is essential.

Location

New Mills, Wotton-under-Edge, Gloucestershire with frequent UK and occasional overseas customer travel.
