Head of Care – Coventry

Langley is seeking an organised, creative and client-focused Head of Care to provide inspiring leadership across our care services. This is an excellent opportunity for a confident communicator with strong interpersonal skills to make a meaningful impact within a values-led organisation. The role is home based, with regular travel to our Central Office in Coventry and to services across the country. This is a permanent, fulltime role working 37 hours per week, with a salary of £62,933 per annum.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Provide strategic leadership and oversight of Care and Supported Living services, ensuring they are safe, high-quality, financially sustainable and aligned with Langley’s Christian mission and values.
  • Lead care referral pathways and placement decisions, ensuring referrals are assessed promptly, robustly and with clear consideration of risk, funding, service capacity and long-term sustainability.
  • Use referral, occupancy, income and placement data to inform forecasting, performance improvement, service planning and sustainable growth across care services.
  • Oversee care income, contracts, package reviews and commissioner relationships to support financially sustainable services and positive outcomes for clients.
  • Provide senior leadership on psychology provision, trauma-informed practice, Enabling Environments learning and specialist care model development across the Trust.
  • Represent the Trust professionally with commissioners, funders, health, social care, criminal justice and faith-based stakeholders, promoting Langley’s reputation as a specialist values-led provider.

ABOUT YOU

  • Experienced care leader: Significant senior leadership experience within care, supported living, health or social care services, with a strong track record of leading teams, driving performance and delivering high-quality, sustainable services.
  • Strategic and commercially minded: Skilled in working with commissioners, funders and stakeholders, using data to inform decisions, manage referrals, improve occupancy and support service growth and financial sustainability.
  • Values-driven and inspirational: A practising Christian who can champion the Trust’s mission and values, provide strong people leadership, and build positive relationships with colleagues, clients and external partners.

The successful candidate will be a practicing Christian who will create an environment where people feel valued, empowered and equipped to do their best work.  This person will play a full part to further the organisational aims and provide strong Christian leadership to allow Langley to be a leader within the different sectors in which it operates. The postholder will always uphold the Trust’s Christian ethos and Christ like culture and therefore there is an occupational requirement for the post holder to be a practicing and professing Christian under the Equality Act 2010.

Please note that the successful candidate will need to be happy to adapt to change and flexible in their duties. No one day will be the same so the ability to refocus frequently is important.
