Salary up to £27,250

Renishaw has a requirement for a Waste Management Technician to join our Facilities team. The successful applicant will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness of our Miskin site.

Key responsibilities

  • The collection and transportation of general site waste

  • Collecting recycling waste and its separation prior to disposal

  • Removal of waste using various compaction systems

  • Site litter picking in order to maintain the high level of cleanliness expected

Key requirements

  • This is a manual role and very physically demanding – the successful applicant must be able to cope with this aspect of the role

  • The ability to work alone for significant periods in all weathers

  • A full and valid UK driving licence

  • The ability to drive, manoeuvre and reverse various tractors and trailers

Desirable requirements

  • A good level of PC literacy

  • Knowledge of Health & Safety

  • Knowledge of COSHH

Person specification

The successful applicant will have a high level of attention to detail, good initiative and an ability to implement continuous improvement. They will be self‑motivated and flexible in their approach to work. Good communication skills are essential.

Location

The position will be based at our Miskin manufacturing site.
