Job Introduction

We’re looking for someonewith a keen interest and background in IT to join our Desktop Support Team.You’ll be part of our 2nd line team working closely with colleagues across theSociety making sure they have what they need to work effectively. You’ll join anenthusiastic team of 6 colleagues at the hub of our IT Department.

Main Responsibilities

This isa varied role however your primary focus will be supporting colleagues acrossthe Society by resolving issues, outfitting them with equipment, deployingsoftware, and setting up new starters. Customer service is a key part of therole as you will be interacting with a variety of colleagues in different ways.We work proactively with colleagues to ensure they are getting the most out oftheir IT, so you’ll get to build and maintain strong working relationshipsacross the business.

Otherresponsibilities include supporting our Business Continuity Planning,contributing to projects, and working on automation and process improvements –ensuring we’re always offering the best service. We’ve recently finished aproject to distribute new equipment with Windows 10 to all of our colleagues,so this is a great opportunity to utilise and develop your skills with thelatest technology.

Ideal Candidate

Anenthusiasm for technology and technical aptitude is essential for this role.We’re looking for someone with a proactive approach and effective timemanagement skills, alongsidea desire to develop – this will mean you get themost out of the role. A knowledge of Windows 10, Office 365, SCCM, softwarepackaging and ITIL would be beneficial, but isn’t essential if you’re willingto learn.

Experience in desktop support would be an advantage, but a passion fortechnology and improvement is a must, in order for you to hit the groundrunning in this busy department.

As part of the role you will be encouraged to develop your technical skills andknowledge, and will also be provided with support for your on-going careerdevelopment.
