Overview
Company Accountant – Grantham
We are seeking to recruit an experienced Company Accountant at our Grantham site who will support the Finance Manager in delivering accurate and timely financial information by preparing and analysing management accounts and financial reports.
The successful candidate will drive improvements in financial processes and controls, provide analytical support for business decisions, and oversee the Finance Assistant.

Key Responsibilities
- Preparing weekly and monthly management accounts for multiple profit centres, ready for review by the Finance Manager.
- Producing and analysing KPIs to support business decisions.
- Analysing financial performance against budgets and forecasts.
- Preparing commercial reports for leadership on a weekly, monthly and annual basis.
- Working collaboratively with the operations team to prepare detailed costings vs budget.
- Responsibility for preparing monthly balance sheet reconciliations, for review by the Finance Manager.
- Analyse financial data and provide insights into trends, variances, and key performance indicators.
- Assisting in the preparation of the annual budgets and forecasts.
- Providing back-up for the preparation of monthly payroll and holiday cover for the Finance Manager.
Skills, Knowledge and Expertise
Essential:
- CIMA/ACCA qualified or equivalent professional qualification
- Some years of experience in a similar accounting role
- In depth knowledge of financial reporting, budgeting, and accounting principles
- High proficiency in Excel for data analysis and reporting
- Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Proven ability to work independently and manage competing deadlines
- Proactive, problem-solving attitude
Desirable:
- Experience with ERP systems (preferably Business Central)
- Previous experience in a multi-site or multi-profit centre organisation
- Experience providing line management or supervisory support
