About the role
An opportunity has arisen to be part of the management team the Research Governance and Integrity Team
- The Research Governance and Integrity Team are looking for a Clinical Trials Manager to oversee the research clinical trials research portfolio of Imperial College London and Imperial College Healthcare NHS Trust.
- Imperial College is part of the Imperial College Academic Health Science Centre which also includes Imperial College Healthcare NHS Trust and has close working relationships with a number of NHS Trusts in North West London who provide support for clinical teaching and research. The Research Governance and Integrity Team is responsible for the processing and management of a large portfolio of clinical research in relation to regulation, national framework compliance and NHS Trust R&D approval. The Office also provides advice and support to researchers for the development and management of their research projects.
What you would be doing
As Clinical Trial Manager, you will work within a research compliance team dedicated to ensuring that clinical trials are initiated and managed in line with legal and organisational requirements. You will manage a team dedicated to the management and oversight of clinical trial activity within the AHSC and be the first point of contact for researchers at the site who require clinical trials support. Reporting to the Head of Research Governance and Integrity, you will continue the development and oversight of trial governance systems required through joint working with Imperial College NHS Trust and will be part of a team dedicated to this purpose.
What we are looking for
You will have a thorough knowledge of clinical trial regulation and requirements, healthcare research regulation, experience of working within a large and complex research organisation, and a sound understanding of administrative procedures. A first degree or equivalent administration experience is essential, preferably in a science/medicine environment. The ability to prioritise conflicting tasks and meet operational deadlines is essential, together with proven communication skills and experience of database systems.
