Support Worker Children & Youth Residential – Must be drivers (UK manual licence)

ROC Northwest offers high quality residential care and education for children and young people with mental health conditions such as Autism, Social, Emotional & Behavioural Difficulties and complex needs associated with challenging behaviour.

What is the role?

Your role is to support our children to maintain and develop relationships with friends and family, encourage them to integrate with the local community by attending clubs or day centres and to support the children in all aspects of their daily living. You will safeguard vulnerable children and report any suspicion or evidence of harm and when the children are not in the service you will undertake housekeeping and maintain standards of hygiene within the home.

Our team of Residential Support Workers are ready to welcome you to a friendly and supportive team. All you need to do is bring the enthusiasm to help support our service users and to take pride in being part of the family.

What do we look for?

  • Previous experience in a mental health care/support environment or maybe you have cared for a family member or friend who has had mental health issues
  • People who have the desire to put others first and to go home with a sense of achievement and pride in their day
  • A Children’s Residential level 3 qualification is desirable but not essential and can result in enhanced pay rates
  • A Manual UK Driving Licence is required to use company vehicle (NOT automatic)
  • Ability to work longer shifts e.g. 8am to 10pm and sleep ins from 10pm to 7am
  • Weekend shifts are included on a rotating rota
