About the role

We have an exciting opportunity within the West Northants Council.

We are looking for a Business Relations Officer to support the Supported Living Review Team. This team is working closely with our Commissioning colleagues to review all current Learning Disability, Physical Disability, ABI, Autism and Mental Health clients living in Supported Living Accommodation. The remit of the team is to review and consider all options to meet Care Act eligible needs that promote and maximise independence, wellbeing, inclusion, and control.

As the Business Relations Officer you will work alongside the Team Manager and Service Manager as part of a project team and be responsible for assisting the Team Manager to collate, report and analyse data for the project. You will also be responsible for supporting the team with business support related activities required for the team.

It is intended that the fixed term contract will end on 31st March 2025.

The successful candidate will work as part of the project team to achieve the best outcomes for the people of West Northants.

What will you be doing?

The Supported Living Review Team are looking for a Business Relations Officer to support the functioning of the team. You will be a valued member of the team who will support the Team Manager daily to collate, report and analyse data compiled by the team’s review activity.

The successful candidate will be responsible daily for completing business support related activities for the team including preparing for and minute taking for team, operational and strategic meetings. Another aspect of the role will require the successful candidate in liaising and responding to queries by providers before, during or following a review carried out by the team. The Business Relations Officer will also be required to liaise with other internal services to streamline data being collated and support the Team Manager reporting this to the Transformation Board and other Managers within West Northants Council.

 Due to being a small team the successful candidate will be supporting the day to day running of the team, management of the team emails and telephone calls. Due to the nature of the project a high volume of day-to-day support will be required in management of the data collated via Excel and this aspect of the role would benefit from Excel knowledge or someone will a willingness to learn this.

About you

We are looking for an enthusiastic person to join our team, someone that is creative, has excellent customer service skills and can communication effectively with both internal colleagues and external partners. We are looking for someone who is proactive and can assist in resolving queries from providers prior, during or following a review.

Having experience in recording minute taking for high level meetings would be required and we would require someone who is confident in this aspect of the tole. Due to the nature of the team being a project and large amounts of data is currently being compiled, it would be an advantage if the successful candidate has knowledge and understanding of MS Teams and Excel. However, as long as there is a willingness to learn all appropriate training will be provided.
