About the role

We have an exciting opportunity in our business support teams that provides administrative support to our Children’s Social Care and Targeted Support teams, who offer ongoing support to children and young people and their families.

We currently have 2 vacancies for Business Officers:

– 1 part time, 18.5-hour post supporting the Targeted Support Teams in Huntingdonshire.

– 1 full time, 37-hour post supporting the Family Safeguarding Teams in Huntingdonshire.

The Family Safeguarding role will be based will be in Huntingdon. The Targeted Support role will be based at Bargroves, St Neots. As we offer a hybrid approach to working, this will be a mixture of office and home based/remote working. There may be the need to travel for meetings/training occasionally as part of this role.

Flexibility in hours for these posts may be considered, together with part time and job share opportunities. Salary offered will be at Scale 4 (£20,444 – £22.129 pro rata pa).

About you

You will need a good working knowledge of all Windows & Microsoft packages (including Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Internet) and experience of using client databases. You should be self-motivated, flexible and have excellent organisational skills alongside the ability to manage your own workload, prioritise and forward plan.  The role will require you to provide high quality administrative support to the wider team including arranging meetings, processing financial transactions as well as minute taking.

You will work as part of a busy team so must possess good interpersonal and communication skills. You will need to work on your own initiative, keep calm under pressure and be able to work to tight deadlines. You should have a methodical and concise approach to tasks and the ability to prioritise workloads effectively.

Liaising with colleagues, professionals, and members of the public over the phone, via email and face-to-face is an integral part of these roles, therefore excellent communication skills are essential alongside an understanding of the importance of confidentiality and data protection.
