About the role

Help Keep Cambridgeshire Moving

Are you passionate about improving local communities? Do you enjoy solving problems, working outdoors, and seeing the real-world impact of your work?

At Cambridgeshire County Council, we’re looking for an enthusiastic and motivated Asset Officer to help shape the future of our highway network and deliver improvements that matter to residents every day. As an Asset Officer, you’ll play a key role in maintaining and improving roads, footways, cycleways, drainage systems and other highway assets that keep Cambridgeshire connected.

Make a Difference Every Day

This is a role where no two days are the same.

One day you could be inspecting roads and identifying future maintenance needs. The next, you’ll be working with contractors to deliver improvement schemes, engaging with local communities, or using data to help determine where investment should be focused. You’ll be helping ensure that Cambridgeshire’s highway network remains safe, resilient, and fit for the future.

If you’re looking for a career where you can combine technical knowledge, community engagement and practical problem-solving, this could be the opportunity for you.

For more information or to chat about this opportunity please contact Barry Wylie Asset Strategy & Systems Manager – Barry.Wylie@cambridgeshire.gov.uk
