Responsibilities:

Mission Statement: The HRBP acts as a strategic and operational HR leader for the India business, partnering with business leaders to align people strategy, workforce planning, organizational effectiveness, and employee engagement with company objectives. The role also leads the local HR Shared Services (HRSS) team, ensuring high-quality HR operations, governance, employee support, and compliance with statutory and company standards.

Business Impact: This role contributes directly to organizational performance through effective people partnership, leadership support, employee relations management, workforce governance, and delivery of scalable HR operations. The role supports talent retention, operational efficiency, compliance, and employee experience while ensuring alignment with global HR standards and business priorities.

Decision-making Authority: The role holds responsibility for advising and influencing leaders on workforce decisions, employee relations matters, organizational design, performance management, and HR governance within defined company policies and statutory frameworks. The position also oversees prioritization and execution of HRSS operational activities, escalates business risks where required, and drives alignment between local execution and global HR direction.
Required Qualifications:

Operational Management: Oversee day-to-day HR operations and HR Shared Services delivery for the India population. Lead and manage a team of 4–5 HRSS employees, ensuring service quality, responsiveness, and operational efficiency. Ensure accurate employee lifecycle management, HR data governance, compliance, and documentation standards. Manage employee relations cases, disciplinary actions, grievances, and escalation handling.

Strategic Execution: Partner with business and operational leaders on workforce planning, organizational design, succession planning, and talent initiatives. Drive performance management processes, leadership capability development, and retention initiatives. Support organizational change, restructuring, and transformation activities.

Stakeholder Partnering: Act as trusted advisor to managers and senior business leaders across the India organization. Collaborate with global HR teams including Talent Acquisition, Payroll, Rewards, HR Operations, and Learning & Development. Partner with Legal and Compliance teams on employee risk mitigation and governance matters.

Service Delivery: Ensure timely and accurate resolution of HR queries, employee requests, and HR operational activities. Drive continuous improvement, process optimization, and operational efficiency initiatives.

People Leadership: Lead, coach, and develop the local HR Shared Services team. Drive accountability, prioritization, collaboration, and development within the team. Foster a high-performance, compliant, and employee-focused HR culture.

Financial Responsibility and Revenue Impact: Supports workforce cost management, headcount governance, and organizational efficiency initiatives. Contributes to operational effectiveness through optimized HR processes and controlled people-related risk management.
Desired Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in human resources, Business Administration, or related discipline required. MBA or postgraduate HR qualification preferred.

Significant progressive HR experience within HR Business Partnering and/ or HR Operations environments.

Prior experience leading HR operational or HR Shared Services teams preferred.
