Progress and Academic Support Advisor (Luton)

Location: Barnfield Campus LU2 7BF

Salary: Up to *GBP*30,056 per annum. Depending on qualifications and expertise.

Contractual Hours: 37.00

Basis: Full time

We have an exciting opportunity to join the School of Construction and Engineering at our Luton Campus. We are looking for a Progress and Academic Support Advisor who is committed to making a positive difference to young people’s lives whilst supporting and developing their learning. Your mentoring, academic and pastoral support will help enable an outstanding learning environment for our learners, providing the interventions they need to succeed.

As a Progress and Academic Support Advisor, you’ll be a mentor, motivator and advocate for students. Your key responsibilities will include:
• Providing personal development support to 16-18-year-old learners
• Support a caseload of learners across the School of Construction and Engineering
• Work with curriculum to support staff with learners attendance, achievement and progression
• Delivering engaging personal development content and help shape the college personal development framework
• Collaborating with curriculum and support teams to ensure students receive timely and effective support
• Working 1:1 and in groups to inspire and guide learners
The successful candidate will:
• Have a Level 2 Maths & English or equivalent
• Have experience working with young people or learners in an education or support environment
• Be able to plan and deliver effective 1:1 support and group sessions that inspire learners
• Possess excellent organisational skills
• Be a confident communicator, able to build positive relationships with students, colleagues and external partners
This role is full-time, 37 hours per week and based at our Luton Campus.
