Overview
We have an exciting opportunity for a Kitchen Assistant to join our team at Loughborough College Group, based at Stephenson College on a fixed-term (1 year approx.) term-time, part-time basis.
The successful candidate will undertake duties supporting the delivery of high-class standards assisting the Kitchen in preparing & serving food to students, serving on the tills, cleaning the Kitchen and serving areas.
Responsibilities of this role include;
- · To undertake duties supporting the delivery of high-class standards of preparation and service for the catering department
- · Ensure that all areas within the kitchen are maintained to the highest levels of cleanliness
- · Provide a full service in the preparation, cooking and delivery of food as directed by the Head Chef/Chefs, as required
What we are looking for;
- · Possess a food hygiene qualification (or be willing to work towards one)
- · Have COSHH training (or be willing to work towards it
- · Experience of working within a customer-focussed environment
- · Effective communication skills, both oral and written
This role is a term time only role working 36 weeks throughout the year and follows FE/HE term times which you can find here Term Dates.
