Dairy Consultant- Kite – Cumbria
Role: Dairy Farm Consultant
Location: Cumbria, North of England & Southwest Scotland
Salary: £50,000 – £65,000+ depending on experience, plus bonus, company car and competitive benefits

We’re looking for an individual who likes forming relationships, addressing problems, and contributing to positive outcomes on the farm. This position could suit an experienced consultant interested in a fresh professional opportunity, as well as someone with a deep dairy background who wants to move into consulting.
What you’ll be doing
- Working directly with dairy farming businesses to identify opportunities for improvement and growth.
- Providing practical advice and support across dairy performance, business management and farm profitability.
- Using data and on-farm insights to help customers make informed decisions.
- Managing a portfolio of clients and building trusted long-term relationships.
- Supporting the growth of the business by identifying opportunities to add value for customers.
What we’re looking for
We’re more interested in the right person than a specific career path. You may have experience in:
- Dairy consultancy.
- Dairy nutrition.
- Farm business management.
- Milk production or herd management.
- Genetics, breeding or performance recording.
- Agricultural advisory or technical field-based roles.
You’ll also bring:
- A solid understanding of UK dairy farming.
- Good commercial awareness and relationship-building skills.
- Experience working directly with farmers and industry stakeholders.
- The ability to analyse information and turn it into practical recommendations.
- An interest in developing yourself and growing your consultancy career.
