As the HRIS and Benefits Analyst for both John Varvatos and AllSaints brands, you play a crucial role as the primary on-site contact for our teams for all benefits and systems information. You will handle diverse tasks, ranging from general Human Resources support to training our teams on our HRIS system and its functionalities. You will play an active role in benefits enrollment, establishing relationships with vendors and brokers to build a competitive offering.

WHAT WILL I BE DOING?

  • Serve as a primary point of contact for HRIS-related questions from head office, retail and distribution team members, troubleshooting issues, and escalating cases as needed. Maintain and update the HRIS (Dayforce), including employee data, system configurations, security access, and policy setup (e.g., locations, job titles, accruals).
  • Administer day-to-day benefits operations across the U.S. and Canada, including new hire enrollments, life event changes, ACA processing, and employee inquiries.
  • Take full ownership of the annual Benefits Open Enrollment process, including system setup, testing, and end-to-end execution each year.
  • Coordinate with benefit vendors and brokers to resolve issues, verify eligibility (including EOI), and ensure accurate billing and timely payments.
  • Support 401(k) plan administration, including contributions, maintenance, and employee support.
  • Generate and maintain standard and ad-hoc HR and benefits reports, ensuring data accuracy and supporting internal reporting needs.
  • Considering best practice and logistics whilst managing requests for process improvements, system enhancements, and the development and/or purchase of new software applications.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement efforts by identifying process enhancements and supporting HRIS and benefits-related projects.
  • Support onboarding and employee lifecycle processes, including offer letter creation, employment verifications, and new hire coordination.
  • Monitor and integrate legislative updates into HRIS workflows and configuration to ensure 100% compliance with evolving state and provincial mandates, including paid leave, scheduling regulations, and tax requirements.
  • Act as a key partner to both the payroll team and people partners, sharing insights on trends, reporting, and system updates.

WHAT SKILLS DO I NEED?

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • High attention to detail and ability to give and receive feedback.
  • Highly organized, with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks and deadlines effectively.
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Self-motivated, dependable, and able to perform under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong interpersonal, customer service, and client relationship skills.
  • General knowledge of payroll processes is an asset, though not a primary responsibility of the role.

EXPERIENCE:

  • 3+ years in HR Operations, specifically focused on HRIS and Benefits.
  • Strong working knowledge of HRIS systems. Experience with Dayforce is preferred.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office / Google Suite. Proficiency with Excel preferred.
  • Skilled at prioritizing and managing multiple projects, taking initiative, and collaborating effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Previous HR experience preferred, specifically in benefits administration.
  • Proficient in multi-state support (especially within NY and CA), Canada preferred.

Preference for the role location is in Los Angeles, but open to NYC. This is a hybrid salaried position with a salary range of: $90,000.00 – $95,000.00 USD/Yearly. 

ABOUT THE LOCATION

Our North America region is made up of 71 retail locations across the U.S. and Canada, with our flagship store in New York City. We are primarily based out of our Los Angeles studios, bringing our brand’s iconic aesthetic to West Hollywood, CA.
