You’ll work closely with residents, contractors, and colleagues to deliver high-quality repairs and void works, while making sure the customer experience stays at the heart of everything you do.

This isn’t just about inspections and specifications it’s about helping people move into safe, well-maintained homes and creating a positive start to their tenancy.

What’s in it for you.

In addition to the salary, we offer a number of benefits, including:

  • High street discount schemes
  • Health cash plans

  • Flexible bank holidays take them when it suits you
  • Car leasing scheme
  • Hybrid working offering you the flexibility to thrive in your role. You’ll have the opportunity to blend the best of both worlds, spending approximately two to three days per week in the office once settled in the role. This is flexible and depends on meeting cycles and board activity. We also offer an optional nine-day fortnight scheme, allowing you to compress your hours if it suits the role.

What you’ll be doing

  • Carry out pre- and post-void inspections, ensuring homes are safe, compliant, and ready for new residents
  • Act as a key point of contact for customers, keeping them informed and supported throughout works and addressing any concerns
  • Deliver excellent customer service, ensuring a positive experience for incoming residents from the outset
  • Prepare detailed specifications of work and manage repairs through to completion
  • Work closely with contractors to ensure works are delivered on time, within budget, and to a high standard
  • Manage and resolve complaints, MP enquiries, and disrepair cases, keeping customers updated throughout
  • Build strong relationships with residents, contractors, and partner agencies
  • Conduct mutual exchange inspections to ensure properties are suitable and safe for new occupants
  • Collaborate with internal teams to minimise void turnaround times and avoid delays to new tenancies
  • Monitor contractor performance, gathering evidence and driving improvements
  • Ensure all works comply with health and safety requirements and relevant legislation
  • Balance quality, cost, and efficiency to deliver value for money while maintaining high standards

What we’re looking for:

We’d love to hear from you if you:

  • Have experience in a construction, maintenance, or surveying role (ideally within housing)
  • Hold a relevant qualification (HNC at a minimum)
  • Have a solid understanding of housing maintenance, defect diagnosis, and repair specifications
  • Are customer-focused and confident communicating with residents and stakeholders
  • Can manage multiple priorities and work to tight deadlines
  • Are confident working independently while collaborating with wider teams
  • Have strong organisational and problem-solving skills
  • Are comfortable using IT systems and property management databases
  • Bring a proactive, “can-do” attitude and a focus on continuous improvement

If specific qualifications are required, please upload them with your application to demonstrate your eligibility.

At PA Housing, we believe in respect, integrity, and accountability. Our work is about people not just properties and we’re always looking for ways to do better. If that sounds like your kind of place, we’d love to hear from you.
