If you want to be part of this exciting challenge then consider coming to work with CSH Surrey. We are looking for talented, forward- thinking Nursing Associates to join our Community Nursing services.
The successful applicant will be supporting the Nursing workforce to provide safe and effective care under the indirect supervision of a Registered Nurse (RN). You will be working within the scope of your practice, providing, holistic nursing care to our patients living within a defined geographical location within the community. You will support and supervise HCAs, Trainee Nursing Associates and Pre-registration nurses. You may also be expected to participate in service improvement initiatives and audits. This role will continue to develop through the acquisition of further skills based on the Nursing and Midwifery Council (2018) guidelines and the development, going forwards of the Nursing Associate role.
Main duties of the job
The main duties of the Nursing Associate role are to
Deliver clinical care to patients as required within set protocols and within the scope of the Nursing Associates practice.
Contribute to patient assessment (after appropriate delegation from the RN) and plan and deliver high standards of care.
Co-ordinate a team of Health Care Assistants in care delivery and, where appropriate, other students
Take responsibility for a group/caseload of patients as required and when delegated by a RN.
Delegate tasks (not responsibility) to other members of the clinical care team as appropriate, e.g. Healthcare support workers, family members and lay carers.
Assist in the delivery of health promotion advice as appropriate to role and in line with own level of competence.
Undertake agreed delegated enhanced tasks as specified in local Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), competencies under the indirect supervision of an RN.
