We are looking for candidates with excellent communication skills, a desire to learn and passion to develop and improve. Previous outpatient experience is welcome, but experience from within an acute setting in the NHS is necessary, with a care certificate issued by the Trust being a requirement.

We have an exciting opportunity  to join our team. One part time post. Monday – Friday. Part time  32 hours per week

Main duties of the job

Working as a Healthcare Support Worker in an Outpatient environment within the hospital setting.

Carry out assigned tasks involved with patient care as delegated by the Charge Nurse/Sister whilst maintaining the privacy and dignity of patients. 

To assist in the provision of high-quality fundamental care to patients whilst supporting the clinicians in the smooth running of clinics.

This will be whilst demonstrating excellent care, compassion and communication and to be guided by the trust’s values and policies

Essential criteria
  • Able to demonstrate that you are honest, reliable and trustworthy Treat patients, visitors and colleagues with respect
  • Ability to be flexible to meet the needs of the patients, the team, the service and the Trust.
  • Residing in the UK with a valid right to work documentation to work in the UK

Qualifications

Essential criteria
  • LEVEL 2 English and Math
  • Care Certificate (issued by NHS)
  • Level 3 Qualification
Desirable criteria
  • Health and Social Care Level 3

Experience

Essential criteria
  • 6-12 months experience as a Healthcare Support Worker in the NHS
  • Team working
Desirable criteria
  • Healthcare Support Worker Buddy

Knowledge

Essential criteria
  • Understanding of the role of the Healthcare Support Worker in the hospital setting.
Desirable criteria
  • Basic knowledge of how the NHS works
