Summary

We are looking to recruit an enthusiastic, skilled and knowledgeable part-time Data Manager, working 22.5 hours per week (0.6).

This is an excellent opportunity to work in a growing Academy, where you will be highly supported by both the Academy team and the wider Harris Federation. As the Academy grows to full capacity there is a wide range of opportunities for future career progression.

You will lead on completing an accurate Academy census and school workforce return, as well as acting as an expert and consultant for high level data & MIS queries, planning advice about how best to approach problems in PowerBI and BromCom.

Main Areas of Responsibility

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Managing the timetable
  • Collecting and updating the MIS with all prior data for new students:
  • Administering the end of year process on the MIS
  • Maintaining staff user accounts on the MIS
  • Carrying out the KS4 and KS5 DfE checking exercises in September and June
  • Managing the Academy website

Qualifications & Experience

We would like to hear from you if you have:

  • Previous experience of working with MIS
  • Extensive knowledge of Microsoft Office and related packages, including Microsoft Excel skills
  • Excellent verbal and numeracy skills
  • A strong commitment to continuing professional development including learning new skills and IT programmes
  • Attention to detail, confident report compiling and documentation skills
  • Experience of working to targets and deadlines
  • Confidence in delivering training and dealing with stakeholders at all levels
  • Sound knowledge of all key data requirements and analysis in Education
  • Familiarity with Bromcom MIS
  • Understanding of Microsoft Power BI
  • An experienced timetabler, with a proven history of developing timetables for schools with complex requirements
  • At least a year working in a school or educational establishment
